Daniel R. Pearson is executive vice
president and chief operating officer of Harris Corporation. In
this role, Mr. Pearson has responsibility for the primary
day-to-day business operations of the company. He oversees the
company’s government businesses, information technology,
healthcare solutions, cyber solutions, Middle East operations,
supply chain management and operations, and security.
Most recently, Mr. Pearson was group
president of Harris Corporation’s Government Communications
Systems Division. Before that, he was group president of Harris’
Defense Communications and Electronics business unit. Prior to
that he was president of the company’s Department of Defense
Programs business unit. Before being named president of Network
Support Division in 2000, he served as vice president and
general manager of Strategic Management and Business Development
for GCSD. He joined Harris in 1977.
Mr. Pearson holds a bachelor of
science degree in electrical engineering from the University of
Pittsburgh.
He is a member of the Air Force
Association (AFA), the Armed Forces Communications and
Electronics Association (AFCEA), the National Defense
Industrial Association (NDIA), the Security Affairs Support
Association, and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).
