Jerry Senne is the President of
Holmes Regional Medical Center, a 500-bed tertiary hospital in
Melbourne, Florida.
Prior to becoming President of
Holmes Regional Medical Center, Jerry served as CEO of Health
First Health Plans and Senior Vice President of Health First,
Inc., an integrated health care system in Brevard County,
Florida. Health First owns three hospitals, a health insurance
company, hospice, home care, a multi specialty group and a
variety of health related entities.
Health First Health Plans covers
over 65,000 members; including seniors and employees of business
in our community.
Prior to joining Health First, Jerry
served as Vice President of Strategic Research at VHA, Inc. In
this position, he directed research and development activities
for the nationwide VHA hospital system. His responsibilities
included implementation of regional programs and services,
overseeing managed care efforts and integrated system
development.
Jerry began his health care career
at Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he served in hospital
operations and as Vice President of Corporate Services. Mr.
Senne received a Masters of Business Administration from the
University of Florida.
In addition to being a Fellow of the
American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Senne has served
the American Hospital Association, the American Health Insurance
Plans, Florida Hospital Association, the Florida Association of
Health Plans, and the Florida Health Maintenance Organization
Consumer Assistance Program.
Jerry is married to Mary Senne,
Ph.D., a Professor at the University of Central Florida, and
they have three children: Camille, Patrick and Grant. Their
son, Patrick, is autistic, and the Senne’s devote their time and
energies to support for individuals with disabilities.
